About
My name is Raisa Rasheeka. I am a student of Media and Communication Department in Independent University,Bangladesh. I have been studying the lives of the tea plantation workers in Bangladesh for a while.I realised that this blog would serve as a platform through which i could reach out to the people and let them know what i have found out about these workers.

Dear Raisa,
I find your work to be extremely interesting. Are you still involved with this issue? Are you having any luck bringing this topic to the attention of people or organizations that can do something about the abuse of these tea plantation workers?

Hey Raisa,
I love what you’ve done with this blog. Would you be interested in doing an interview for my tea blog? I think your first-hand insight would offer a great benefit to my readers.
Cheers,
Eric

Lovely blog Rasheeka . I have been to some of these tea estates and stayed some nights in them. They are wonderful places to be but its true that the people are abused to their limits over there. Its a form of slavery that still exists in that part of the world.

Hello!
I’m writing to you because of an exciting campaign we’re running that we want you and your blog to be part of.
We’re getting thousands of people in the UK to give their votes to participants in Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Ghana.
Why? Because UK policies on war, climate change and trade affect people far beyond their borders, yet the voices of these people are unheard in the election debate.
Until now.
We want participants like you to ask the questions of candidates in the UK general election before deciding who gets your vote.
On 15th of March we’re launching the Give Your Vote campaign in the UK. On the 30th we’ll be launching the Use A UK Vote in Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Ghana.
We don’t see this campaign as a permanent solution to inequality in the global system but rather a way of protesting that system and calling for a better one.
We agree with Desmond Tutu when he says “we must strive for a global democracy, in which everybody – not only the rich and powerful – has a voice”.
We’re forming a core of bloggers who care about equality, democracy and global justice to be part of this campaign. We want you to be part of it.
What do you think?
